Home and School

Home and School
We are a group of dedicated parents and caregivers who work with the Staff
Liaison, Whānau Rōpū and Board of Trustees Rep to organise and run social
and fundraising activities to develop our school’s community and environment.

Activities
Each year we undertake to raise approximately $16,000 through fundraising
activities such as disco, sausage sizzles, ice-block Fridays, calendar art.  We run
some larger events such as like Christmas Carnival and Gala, as well as a
Christmas or Easter raffle contributing to the Kahikatea/Senior School camp.

Committee Meetings
Committee meetings are held once a term on a Monday night and an Annual
General Meeting held in conjunction with the Term 1 meeting. We welcome
anybody to come along. The focus of the meeting is to plan the events for the
upcoming term and discuss/approve donation requests from the school.

Friends of Home and School
If you are keen to be involved or have skills that you could offer our school, but
can’t commit to joining the Home and School committee because of work or
family commitments, please let us know.
We can add you to our ‘Friends of Home and School’ database and contact you
from time to time where we need extra help.
